This morning during our general meeting, we held our 2022-2023 Officer Elections.

The Stock Market Game

We are creating teams of Five to compete in the FBLA Stock Market Game. See Reece if interested. Stock Market Game Students in the FBLA-PBL Stock Market Game (SMG) may work individually or in teams of two to five members to build and manage a successful investment portfolio of stocks, bonds, and mutual funds, using a hypothetical $100,000. They track their investments over the course of 12 weeks, receiving valuable opportunities to practice core math, English Language Arts, and research skills as well as fundamental business, economics and social studies content in a real-world scenario. The Fall 2020 SMG session is September 14 – December 4. The registration deadline is October 16. The Spring 2021 SMG session is February 1 – April 23. The registration deadline is March 5.

Executive Team Meetup 2022

Today, our Officers and Executive Board went to Seattle! They were divided into 2 groups; the Expedia Team and the Design Team. Both teams first went to the Columbia Center Sky View Tower. At the very top of the building, the 73rd floor, there was an amazing view of the buildings and the beautiful Pacific Ocean. After overlooking the beautiful view, our Expedia Team headed over to the new Expedia HQ. At the headquarters, the team met with Christie Hudson (Head of Public Relations) and she gave them a tour of the building! During this, the Central Public Library of Seattle provided us an amazing conference room. Our Design Team spent the afternoon with Kari Toms designing our 22-23 chapter t-shirt designs and preparing for the start of the school year! 2022 FBLA National Leadership Conference A team of 16 competitors travelled to Chicago, Illinois on June 27, 2022 for a full week of the annual FBLA National Leadership Conference. The KMS FBLA Chapter earned 1st place, Nationally, for the ML Merit Award. This is a National initiative set out each year that challenges chapters to organize and engage their membership in chapter management & leadership over an 8 month period. Our team was lead by Satapat Tatarian (grade 7), KMS FBLA President and Spencer Hall (grade 7), KMS FBLA VP.
