January 29th, General Meeting

We met in person with the Executive Team and then added general membership on Zoom. The goal for today was prep for the WA FBLA Winter Regional Conference. We brainstormed ways to use the theme of A.S.P.I.R.E with our chapter. We discussed professionalism while online and how we each represent our chapter. We also watched the WA FBLA video welcome and set dates for the next few meetings.

Upcoming dates:
    • Winter Regional Leadership Conference > Saturday, January 30th, online

    • Tallo for ongoing projects (due in March)

    • State Business Leadership Conference > April 21-24, 2021 - SBLC

    • National FBLA Conference > June 29 - July 2, 2021, (may be in person, Anaheim CA)

Executive Team Meetup 2022

Today, our Officers and Executive Board went to Seattle! They were divided into 2 groups; the Expedia Team and the Design Team. Both teams first went to the Columbia Center Sky View Tower. At the very top of the building, the 73rd floor, there was an amazing view of the buildings and the beautiful Pacific Ocean. At the headquarters, the team met with Christie Hudson (Head of Public Relations) and she gave them a tour of the building! Our Design Team spent the afternoon with Kari Toms designing our 22-23 chapter t-shirt designs and preparing for the start of the school year! The Expedia Team met the designers there and they held a vote on the different designs to choose! After our design meeting both teams went down to the Pike Place Market. They received a list of questions to ask local businesses in the mar

FBLA Club during Remote Learning?

Yes! Usually we meet once a month for a general membership meeting. We have a guest speaker and we munch on Costco muffins and orange juice... Twice a month we meet in the Arctic Den lab during lunches for work on our Service Projects and Project L.E.A.D. Remote learning is changing that a bit. We will be meeting online, 10:45-11:30 am, Every Other Week. Our First Meeting will be September 18th. Check out the Calendar on our Blog for meeting times. You can find the link on the KMS Clubs page in Canvas. See you there!
